Prerequisites
Ensure the necessary hardware is installed. The hardware should be capable of sending Sonar the full inventory of the bin.
How It Works
Feed bins for each house are automatically uploaded to Sonar. Once the farm is available in Sonar, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Sonar Web > Growout or Breeder > Farms.
- Select your farm, then go to the Shared Feed Bins section.
- In this section, users can map feed bins to be shared between houses. For example, if House 1 and House 2 share Feed Bin A, create a mapping by assigning any Mapping Name. Then, add House 1, Bin A, and House 2, Bin A to the child grid.
When the feed inventory is received from the sensor, the system will allocate the inventory to each house based on the current bird inventory in each one. The total feed consumption is also calculated and distributed accordingly.
Once the setup is complete, you’ll see the updated information in the Sonar App. The app will display a "Shared Sensor" label in purple on the feed sensor, indicating that the bin is shared across multiple houses. Additionally, two key values will be shown:
- Allocated Feed Inventory: The amount of feed allocated to each house, based on the bird inventory.
- Physical Feed Inventory: The actual amount of feed present in the shared bin.
When the data is downloaded to Protein/Amino, it will download the allocated values.
