Prerequisites
- Thresholds must be set up in Sonar Web.
- Depletion standards should be configured in Protein/Amino or Sonar.
- Alerts must be enabled in the Sonar App Settings.
- Ensure Sonar has permission to send push notifications to your device.
Benefits
Sonar alerts are designed to quickly notify growers and tech supervisors of issues in a house, enabling timely action before problems lead to lasting damage. These alerts are triggered by recognizing problematic patterns combined with user-defined settings.
How It Works
Alerts are generated based on specific criteria for each sensor type:
Temperature
- Outside the minimum or maximum thresholds.
- A sharp increase or decrease within one hour, based on the max rate of change per hour value set in the thresholds.
Humidity
- Outside the minimum or maximum thresholds.
Feed
- Feed inventory falls below the minimum bin amount threshold.
- A decline in feed consumption from one day to the next.
- Feed is projected to run out in less than 24 hours, calculated by comparing current inventory to the estimated consumption rate based on bird inventory, feed projections and feed consumption standards.
- Daily feed per bird exceeds max or falls below min thresholds.
- Hourly feed per bird exceeds the hourly max threshold for any given hour.
Bird Weight
- Outside the minimum or maximum weight thresholds.
- Weight decreases from one day to the next.
- Slowing weight gain, identified when weight gain over a 48-hour period is 50% or less than the previous period.
Water Consumption
- A decrease of more than 25% compared to the previous day.
- Peak water consumption rate drops by over 25% from the previous day (peak consumption rate refers to the maximum gallons or liters consumed per hour in a day).
Ammonia
- Levels are outside the minimum or maximum thresholds.
Air Flow
- Airflow is outside the minimum or maximum thresholds.
Carbon Dioxide
- CO2 levels are outside the minimum or maximum thresholds.
Depletion
- Depletion percentage exceeds the standard + % Over Target Alert. For example, if the depletion standard for day 10 is 3% and the % Over Target Alert is set to 5%, you would receive an alert if depletion on day 10 is greater than 8%.
