Screen Location: Sonar Web > Analytics > Feed
Prerequisites
- Feed transactions must be entered in Protein v7 or Amino.
- Feed sensors must be connected to Sonar, with regular readings (e.g., every 15 minutes or every hour).
Benefits
- Verify the accuracy of feed tickets entered into Protein or Amino.
- Identify any discrepancies, such as feed deliveries made to the wrong house or farm.
- Automate the comparison and analysis of feed transactions, replacing previously manual processes.
- Quickly spot issues using color-coded cells that highlight discrepancies.
How It Works
- When a feed transaction is entered in Protein v7 or Amino for a farm monitored by Sonar, the transaction is automatically uploaded to Sonar.
- For farms with hardware that monitors feed inventories, algorithms are used to detect feed transactions (such as deliveries or haul backs).
- The system matches the actual feed transactions to those detected by the algorithms, enabling users to audit and confirm that the tickets align with what actually occurred.
- The audit table will have the following columns:
- Issues: Indicates if a problem is detected, such as when there is a Protein/Amino transaction but no corresponding change in the feed bin inventory. Displayed as a checkbox when an issue is present.
- House ID: Identifies the house where the transaction took place.
- Event Date: The date the transaction occurred.
- Begin Time: The time the transaction occurred, as recorded by Sonar.
- Transaction Type: The type of feed transaction (e.g., delivery or haul back) recorded in V7/Amino.
- Transaction Amount: The feed quantity recorded in the Protein/Amino transaction.
- Sonar Beginning Inventory: The feed bin inventory level in Sonar immediately before the delivery or haul back.
- Sonar Measured Amount: The amount of feed detected by Sonar, based on feed bin inventory changes.
View Data by Flock
Location: Sonar Web > Analytics > Feed > Feed Transaction Audit by Flock
- Use the dropdowns to select a farm and a flock.
- Drill down into a specific flock to confirm that all feed tickets align with Sonar’s sensor data.
- Review flock totals to ensure feed delivery accuracy.
View Data by Date
Location: Sonar Web > Analytics > Feed > Feed Transaction Audit by Date
- Use the dropdowns to select the desired dates.
- By default, the screen shows data from the previous day.
- Stay up-to-date on your audits by reviewing all feed transactions for a specific date.
Tips & Tricks
- Filter for Issues: Set "Issues = True" to quickly identify all problematic records.
- Transaction Amount = 0, Sonar Measured Amount > 0: This indicates that feed was delivered, but no corresponding record exists in Protein/Amino.
- Sonar Measured Amount = 0, Transaction Amount > 0: This suggests a feed delivery ticket was recorded, but the delivery was not received at the house.
- Zero Amounts: Use zeros in either the Transaction Amount or Sonar Measured Amount to identify feed delivered to the wrong house, bin, or farm.
- Totals Comparison: Compare the total feed delivered according to the feed tickets with what was measured by Sonar using the totals displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- Bin Details: Expand any row to view detailed information about each bin.
