New Features

Farm List Improvements

In order to improve the user experience for users that have access to many farms, we have made a few updates to the Farm List in Sonar App. 

  • Added a search bar to quickly search for a farm from the list
  • Added the Flock Age and # Alerts to the list
  • Added the ability to sort the farm list by any of these parameters. The sorting setting will be saved, so that when a user closes and re-opens the app, the sorting will still apply.

Additional Sensors

  • We have added Eggs Produced as a new sensor in Sonar. When available, Sonar can capture this data from the controllers that have automatic egg counters. This data will show in Sonar and then download into Field Transactions in Protein / Amino as Total Eggs Produced.

  • We have also added Outside Temperature to Sonar. For controllers that have this data available, Sonar will show the outside temperature as a separate sensor with all the data. This will also get downloaded to Protein / Amino as Temperature Outside, Temperature Outside High, and Temperature Outside Low.

Skov Integration Updates

We have made numerous updates to the Skov and Sonar integration:

  • Added Outside Temperature and Eggs Produced in the data that is synced with Sonar. This applies to farms that are currently collecting this data in the Skov controllers.
  • Increased the frequency of the data collection. Previously, data was collected every hour, and this has been increased to collect every 15 minutes.

Support Site App Integration

In order to quickly and efficiently support our users, we have added some integrations into Sonar App with our support team. In the Settings tab, there is now a Help & Support section with three new options:

  • Visit our Support Site - this option will open our Support site for users to search and view the help documentation. 
  • Submit a Ticket to our Support Team - this will open the form to submit a ticket to the Sonar Support Team directly in the app. 
  • Send us an Email - for users who prefer to email the Sonar Support Team, this option will open an email for the user addressed to sonarsupport@mtech-systems.com.

Other New Features

  • For Breeders, we have added the differentiation between Date Placed and Date Moved In. This will allow Sonar to better associate data specifically for Lay farms. The Date Placed will be used to calculate the age of the flock, and the Date Moved In will be used to begin assigning IoT data to the flock. For customers using Protein or Amino, these dates will also be uploaded from Protein. 
  • For Munters Trio, Munters Rotem, Little Bird FeedCast, and FarmCloud devices, we have updated the feed consumption logic to use the consumption provided by the hardware instead of calculating it using MTech's algorithm.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the mortality was not coming to Sonar from certain Rotem controllers.
  • Fixed a bug where the weight thresholds were shown incorrectly in some cases.
  • Resolved a bug where the projected weight did not calculate for some farms.
  • Fixed multiple issues where alerts were being sent to the user when they shouldn't have had an alert.
  • Resolved a bug where the temperature by sensor graph in Sonar App only showed 4 sensors even if a house had more than 4 sensors connected.
  • Fixed an issue where the Analytics tab did not load for some farms in Sonar App.
